The City of Ferndale announced on their website today the water and sewer rate assessed against usage will remain unchanged at least until June 30, 2016.
Rate changes are made based upon the movement of the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) specifically for Seattle, Tacoma and Bremerton (the closest region with a published CPI-W index). Since the index dropped 0.2% there will be no increase. The rate does not decrease since the ordinance adopted by the city in 2013 states
