Fire responded to a pickup truck in the northbound off ramp from I-5 onto Main Street today about 1:40pm, September 7th. The vehicle was completely engulfed when firefighters arrived. Ferndale Police shut down the ramp to enable the fire response to take up positions. The driver was reported to be heading up the off ramp on foot to seek assistance.
The initial fire response set up a defensive position to protect a nearby building from the fire.
No injuries had been reported.
