BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched to the 1800 block of Marine Drive about 9:40am on Wednesday, March 23rd, due to a report of a vehicle versus power pole crash.
Initial reports from the scene were of wires down on the road and witnesses reported the occupants of the vehicle had fled on foot following the crash.
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reported a power outage in the area that began about the same time and impacted 252 PSE customer addresses. As of 10:25am, the estimate for when power would be restored was 12pm.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
