Broken water main results in downtown road closure

Drivers are advised to avoid the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Alder Street for the next several days after a water main broke yesterday and repairs need to be made.

A Ferndale Public Works crew is expected to be on-site making repairs through next Thursday, January 17th, according to an announcement today from the City of Ferndale.

Work to make permanent repairs is expected to impact traffic through the area including a scheduled closure of the intersection on Tuesday, January 15th. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic through the work area.
