Pioneer Bridge, where Main Street crosses the Nooksack River, is scheduled to receive its regular biennial inspection by Washington State Department of Transportation technicians and engineers Wednesday. This will require closing 1 lane while the work is going on.
City of Ferndale staff say the work is planned to begin at 11:30am and be completed by 4pm, Wednesday, April 3rd.
Flaggers will be on site to alternate the flow of traffic through the 1 open lane.
Drivers can expect delays and should avoid the area if possible.
UAV inspections cause zero impact to traffic as an under bridge inspection truck is not necessary unless a deficiency is detected.
I can think of one local company that would be happy to help.
