Bellingham Scottish Gathering volunteer meeting Sunday

Organizers with this year’s Bellingham Scottish Gathering event are letting volunteers attend the all-day event for free. Volunteer opportunities include setting up, taking down, handing out literature, garbage pick up and more.

Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to attend a 3pm meeting Sunday, May 26th, at the Ferndale WECU

The event is scheduled to run from 9am to 7pm on Saturday, June 1st, at Hovander Homestead Park. This year’s event will feature Highland dance competitions, bagpipe bands, Scottish athletic competitions, food and merchandise vendors, a beer garden, clan tents and Scottish animals according to organizers.

Admission is $15 with discounts for groups, students, seniors and military. 5-year-old and under get in for free. Tickets can be purchased online.
