FOUND: Bellingham Police ask public’s help to locate missing man

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police have asked the public to be on the lookout for John M. Stewart.

UPDATE 7:20am – Bellingham Police announced Stewart was found safe. “He was in a safe place he’d arranged for himself.”

Stewart is an 83-year-old white male who is 5-foot 10-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow blazer over a black zip-up sweater, blue jeans, brown loafers and a cream Adidas baseball cap.

Stewart “may have early onset dementia, which is undiagnosed” according to Bellingham Police.

Stewart was last seen Wednesday, April 28th, at 3 p.m. in the 3000 block of St Clair Street when he left his residence on foot. It is the first time he has not returned home.

Bellingham Police ask anyone to call 911 immediately if you see Stewart.
