Bellingham outage leaves over 2,500 without power

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) said a power outage was first reported about 12:40pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, east of I-5 between Lakeway Drive and Lake Padden.

As of 1pm, PSE said 2,657 of its residential and business addresses were without power. The estimation for restoring power is 4pm.

The cause was reportedly under investigation.

There was an outage in a small portion of the outage area scheduled for 10:30am that impacted 5 addresses.

Bellingham Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an electrical emergency about 12:45pm in the 3800 block of Lindsay Avenue, a location within the outage area.
