BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham International Airport is included in the list of US airports sharing in $8 billion in funds awarded as COVID-19 economic assistance in the form of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Rescue Grants.
FAA reports today, June 22nd, the Bellingham International Airport has been awarded a $4,466,863 grant.
Airport Rescue Grants are part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and are to provide economic relief from impacts due to the COVID-19 pandemic including relief from rent and minimum annual guarantees for eligible airport concessions.
Grant recipients have until September 30, 2024 to commit grant monies toward eligible expenditures.
