MAPLE FALLS, Wash. — Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release notifying the community they have a warrant for the arrest of Pavel Eduard Vasilchenko, age 24, for 1st degree attempted murder.
According to the press release, Vasilchenko is believed to be in the Maple Falls, Kendall area, possibly driving either a black spray-painted Volkswagen Passat (or Jetta) or a black Nissan Pathfinder. Vasilchenko may now have shorter hair than what is pictured.
WCSO officials say there is no reason to believe Vasilchenko is a threat to the community.
No specifics regarding the crime were provided with the notice.

Vasilchenko is currently out of custody after posting bonds while facing several felony property crime charges in 3 Whatcom County Superior Court cases.
Update: Vasilchenko was booked into the Whatcom County Jail by WCSO this afternoon, July 13th, about 3:20pm.
