WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — This week, Amtrak announced in a letter to the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Oregon Department of Transportation that the company will add a second round-trip to Vancouver, BC beginning March 7th.
This will be a return to service levels on the Cascades line prior to the suspension of all service between Seattle and Vancouver in May of 2020 due to COVID-19 mandates. Error, group does not exist! Check your syntax! (ID: 11)
Amtrak also stated it will increase the number of daily trips between Seattle and Portland from 4 to 6 beginning this fall.
Amtrak resumed 1 roundtrip on the Cascades line in late September of 2022.
