UPDATE 5:05pm
While the accidents southbound have been moved to the shoulder, traffic southbound is backed up to Smith Road. Not clearing up as quickly as expected.
Northbound accidents are not reported to have been cleared yet and are still having an impact on traffic which remains backed up to the Bakerview Road interchange. This is likely to get worse as people begin their commutes home.
Just as that got posted northbound traffic appeared to have magically cleared up with traffic moving normally. Hard to confirm via the DOT cameras but maybe!
Southbound is backed up only to Slater Road now.

Traffic is still backed up from Bakerview and Slater to the accident scenes both northbound and southbound.

Click for more informationThese are just in time to have the potential to mess up your Friday evening commute. This is northbound I-5 between Bakerview and Slater. Heavy rains may be partially to blame.
It has been reported there are at least three people with back injuries. At least three accidents in the area have been reported.
