A kinder weather forecast for the Ferndale area

Weather forecasters from the National Weather Service and Environment Canada agree we can expect far more rain than snow in the coming days.

Today’s clouds are expected to bring periods of wet snow mixed with rain this morning followed by rain showers this afternoon. Warmer temperatures will raise the snow level to at least 1000 feet. Tonight temperatures will drop to the low-30s and, with a 20 percent chance of precipitation, may result in wet flurries in the higher elevations.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be mostly dry with highs in the upper-30s and lows in the upper-20s. Fraser Valley outflow winds are expected pick up Sunday morning.

The next round of significant precipitation in the forecast begins Monday evening and continues through Tuesday bringing periods of snow or rain.
