WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Forecasters with the National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle office issued a wind advisory this morning for today, Tuesday, October 5th, in western Whatcom and Skagit Counties, San Juan County and the Admiralty Inlet area.
The advisory says to expect sustained southeast winds 15 to 30mph with gusts up to 50mph between 9am and 3pm.
NWS forecasters said this morning a low-pressure system offshore will strengthen this morning creating increasing southerly winds across much of western Washington. The strongest winds are expected to occur across the advisory area later this morning and into the afternoon.
