
BLAINE, Wash. — Officials with the Washington State Department of Agriculture reported today, September 11th, they had eradicated the second Asian giant hornet nest found this year, the third nest over the last 2 years since the invasive specie was detected for the first time in North America.
According to the report, the eradication occurred today.
Another nest has been located, the third this year, and plans are being made for its eradication according to the report. No location was provided but the three nests located prior have been located within a few miles radius within east Blaine.
