2016 L.E.F.T. 5k details announced

2016 left 5k logoThis year will be the 4th running of the Law Enforcement Fun Trek (L.E.F.T) 5k. The event began in 2012 in remembrance of the first responders involved and lost during the 9/11 tragedy.

Last year’s course crossed railroad tracks on Hovander Road and runners found themselves delayed by a long train mid-race. So there is a new course this year (see map below) that has been rerouted to avoid railroad crossings.

And with the new course comes a new hub of the activities happening around the run. The Start/Finish line will be at Pioneer Park along with all the related activities and refreshments.

Participants are encouraged to register early to enjoy reduced rates.

According to the organizers, all race participants will be entered into a drawing for some fabulous prizes, there will be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses and participants can get photos taken with their favorite first responders.

Event volunteers and business sponsors are welcome. Click here for more information.
