This year’s Ferndale Street Festival opened on a high note with a warmer than normal Friday evening. Occasional wind gusts Saturday had some vendors nervous, but they didn’t bother the crowds.
Vendors lined up on Main Street for two blocks and down the side streets kept this year’s Ferndale Street Festival crowd entertained and fed. Weather, always a big factor, cooperated with temperatures hovering around 70° and morning clouds clearing as the day went on. There were gusts up to 29mph (5pm) with 10-15mph sustained winds throughout the afternoon but they didn’t hamper the event.
