A two-car accident occurred on northbound I-5 at the entrance to the Custer rest area about 9:30am. Unknown if any injuries. At least one minor injury reported. The left lane of I-5 and the rest area entrance were blocked.
Looking at the vehicles it is hard to tell whether the accident occurred on the exit to the Custer rest area or on I-5. At the end of it all there was a van on the right shoulder of I-5 and a passenger vehicle on the right side of the rest area entrance roadway.
Washington State Patrol is investigating.
