Pioneer Park’s newest member of the collection of historical buildings is now only feet away from its new foundation.
As mentioned in a previous story, the 1916 Mountain View Schoolhouse was moved 9 miles from Alcoa property this morning, September 26th, to just outside of its ultimate destination, Pioneer Park. It will be moved the final few feet to its specially prepared spot among the other local historic buildings in Pioneer Park Monday morning.
The building is expected to be the location of a hands-on children’s museum.
