Ferndale city staff announced today that Ferndale City Finance Director Mark Peterson is retiring effective August 1st.
Peterson has been Ferndale’s finance director for 12 years, including the years of the Great Recession. During each of those years, the Washington State Auditor’s office conducted extensive annual audits of the city’s books which found they surpassed state guidelines for sustainability and fiscal health.
